My name is Colleen Williams RN BScN - I have had episodes of MDD after receiving anesthetics of Sublimas. The last time I had surgery I asked for Ketamine and I had an amazing reaction, I had a complete lifting of chronic depression. Is it possible that Ketamine is an antidote to some blocker on the limbic system? Why wouldn't anesthesiologist use Ketamine all the time on patients as I am not the first patient to report this outcome. Also perhaps in ECT it isn't the seizure that reset the limbic brain but perhaps the anesthetic agent of Ketamine? Just say'n.😏
